My being proclaims the greatness of the Lord, my spirit finds joy in God my savior, For he has looked upon his servant in her lowliness; all ages to come shall call me blessed. God who is mighty has done great things for me, holy is his name; His mercy is from age to age on those who fear him. He has shown might with his arm; he has confused the proud in their inmost thoughts. He has deposed the mighty from their thrones and raised the lowly to high places. The hungry he has given every good thing, while the rich he has sent empty away. ST.MARY'S WOMENS LEAGUE is a spiritual organization representing all the women of the church. St Mary, mother of our Lord Jesus Christ, known for being a woman of immaculate grace, faith and obedience is the leading spirit and the guiding light of this organization.
The St.Mary's Womens League was formed in the year 1978 to enable the spiritual growth of women to promote Christian beliefs and values among us and our families. All women members of the church are part of this organization. The committee members are elected annually to lead and coordinate the activities for this organization.
The activities compliments the overall functioning of the church and its various spiritual bodies. We believe in the motto “faith with deeds”. St.Mary's Womens League members meet every Sunday at church after the holy Qurbono to read the bible, sing devotional songs and pray for the needy. On every alternative sundays, our President and Vicar Rev. Fr. Shinoj Joseph presides the meeting and provides spiritual leadership.
Members of the organization take part in planning retreats, paryer meetings, running home-made food auctions, potlucks for various events. We also participate in various volunteering and charity activities in the community and in the church throughout the year.
